If you plan on having us print that Word document or Excel spreadsheet you’ve been working hard on, you must first save it as a PDF. Why? Because the layout and fonts you used to create it are not universal to every computer or operating system. Chances are, the document you have on your screen will be very different on another screen. Sometimes the page count can even be different.

The best way to avoid this is to save it as a PDF. But how do you do that? We’ll show you two ways. At least one is guaranteed to work for you.

Option 1: Go to print

You can go to print and where you choose the printer you want to print to, you can select PDF on some operating systems.

Option 2: Save as PDF

When you go to save your document, you may have the option to save it as a PDF. This is the quickest way.
